Seeds for Australian Open 2013 - WTA

The defending champion and current world no.1,Victoria Azarenka, will be the top seed at this year's Australian Open. Last year's Australian Open runner-up and 2008 Australian Open champion, Maria Sharapova will be seeded 2nd for this year's Australian Open. 5 time Australian Open champion, and reigning Wimbledon and U. S Open champion, Serena Williams is seeded 3rd, just behind Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova. Both Azarenka and Sharapova will be keeping their fingers crossed for the placement of Serena Williams in the draw.
Last year's Wimbledon runner-up, Agnieszka Radwanska, will be seeded 4th for the Australian Open 2013.
Angelique Kerber, Li Na, Sara Errani and Petra Kvitova round out the top 8 seeds.

Unlike men, all the top 32 women's players will be there for the Australian Open 2013. Mona Barthel rounds out the top 32 seeds. Shuai Peng and Carla Saurez Navarro just missed on being seeded by a margin of 26 points only. Barthel has 26 more points as compared to Shuai Peng and Navarro.

Among the unseeded dangerous floaters will be Sabine Lisicki, Jie Zheng, Francesca Schiavone, Laura Robson and Svetlana Kuznetsova.
